Hi, I'm Monique.

Horses have been part of my life for as long as I can remember and continue to be one of my greatest teachers.

Over the years, they have brought me joy, challenged me, humbled me, and taught me some of life's most valuable lessons about trust, communication, patience, resilience, and relationship. Most of all, they have shown me the importance of slowing down, paying attention, and being present.

One of the greatest lessons horses have taught me is the importance of relationship. Trust cannot be rushed, and understanding takes time. The more I learn about horses, the more I value patience, curiosity, respect, and a willingness to listen.

The vision for Equineistic NT grew from a simple belief: that horses have much to offer us, and that time spent with them can enrich our lives in meaningful and lasting ways.

As an Equine-Assisted Learning Practitioner, I create opportunities for people to learn alongside horses through experiences that foster awareness, confidence, understanding, and connection. Horses have a unique way of inviting us into the present moment and offering opportunities for learning that are often difficult to find elsewhere.

My approach combines lifelong horse experience with professional training in Equine Assisted Learning through the Equine & Animal Assisted Psychotherapy Institute. I have also undertaken training in NLP, Life Coaching, trauma informed practice, mental health support, and working with children and adolescents, and I am currently undertaking a Diploma of Counselling.

My counselling training includes specialisation in trauma informed practice, working with children and adolescents, mental health support, abuse counselling, relationship and conflict resolution, and mindfulness in therapy. This allows me to support people navigating a range of life experiences and challenges.

Above all, I care deeply about the wellbeing of both horses and people. My aim is to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where learning can unfold naturally, relationships are valued, and both horse and human are treated with respect.

I believe horses have much to offer us if we are willing to slow down, pay attention, and learn in relationship with them.

It is a privilege to share that journey, and I look forward to welcoming you to Equineistic NT.
